ABOUT US: THE WELL KNOWN, TINA SHERMAN, R.N. B.S. is not only a gifted and gentle Registered Nurse, but she has extensive experience in the Cosmetic Plastic Surgery field and has worked for many prestigious Beverly Hills, San Fernando Valley and Ventura County Surgeons and has been referred to as the "Celebrity Nurse to the stars". Prior to opening up Villa Milana Retreat, Tina Sherman, R.N., worked in private practice for many years for Dr. Garth Fisher, from Extreme Makeover in Beverly Hills(formally married to Brooke Burke) and Dr. Steven Hoefflin in Santa Monica who was the plastic surgeon to many stars in Hollywood (and to the late Michael Jackson). It was her expertise in this field that earned her credibility and nursing status. Her experience working with top plastic surgeons, caring for celebrities and high profile clients from all over the world, and enjoying an atmosphere that creates warmth, compassion and comfort gave Tina the experience to open up her own private getaway..... Growing up in Beverly Hills, Tina Sherman was also raised in a showbiz family where her late British father was a famous Publicist at Warner Brother Studios representing some of the most well known actors in Hollywood. Also, her late cousin, the British Director Irving Rapper, was known for directing stars like Betty Davis back in the 1930's and 1940's. Tina was exposed to the showbiz life as a young girl when she would go on location with her father in the field or at Warner Brother's Studios. Her parents entertained many celebrities in their Beverly Hills home like John Wayne, Bob Hope, Marlon Brando and many directors and producers. Therefore, it was a natural and comfortable fit for Tina to care for high profile clients from all over the world who desired Plastic Surgery and wanted total confidentiality.

A Home away from Home. Will I be picked up after my surgery? Yes. We have comfortable transportation with pillows and blankets supplied. Calm meditation music plays on the sound system. You are transported directly to the safe haven of Villa Milana Retreat, just minutes away. We do not use SUV's or Minivans as we have found that it is very difficult for our patients to get into and out of the car after a Tummy Tuck. Therefore, we have a very elegant Mercedes Benz for your total comfort. Will I be taken to my appointment the next day after surgery to see my doctor.? Yes, and we will drop you off at your appointment. Remember, check out time is 8:30am. If you are staying another night with us, than we will bring you back to Villa Milana Retreat. If you DO NOT need to see your doctor, than you will be discharged from our Retreat by 8:30 am that day. We can always work with you to accommodate your needs. Thank you. What time is check-out? Check out is at 8:30 am from our Retreat and your party will pick you up from our Retreat. If you do need a ride home, we do charge $125 within a 10 mile radius. You will receive a full breakfast and your morning medications. Before leaving Villa Milana, you will also be given an education on how to care for yourself and what to expect over the next few days. All of your questions will be answered so that you feel confident and prepared when you go home. May I have visitors on the day of surgery? If the doctor says this is OK we do allow visitors on the day of the procedure. (Please limit visitation to 20 minutes so the patient may sleep). However, as a general rule, we prefer to keep the patient quiet and undisturbed during this important time of recovery and have visitors come the following day. Do you have visiting hours? Yes. We ask that visitors put off their visit until the date following surgery, as the patient needs rest and quiet immediately following surgery. Visiting hours are: 11:00am until 8:00pm. May I use your phone at Villa Milana Retreat? We require that you bring your cell phone and phone charger if you expect to make calls from your suite. If you are from out of the country please ensure that you have cell phone access. If you need to use our business line, than you must bring a calling card and limit your calls to 10 minutes during our business hours. For medical reasons we ask for limited conversation, especially in the case of a face lift. May I use your computer at Villa Milana Retreat? We require that you bring your lap top if you need computer access. Please ensure that you have WIFI capabilities. Due to confidentiality, we cannot let you use our business computer. May I have a close relative or friend spend the night? Yes. There is an additional room charge fee of $195. We provide a separate cozy cot for the relative/friend's overnight stay in the shared room and tea/coffee and muffins. Do you take credit cards? Sorry, no. At this time we accept money orders, cashiers checks and cash. All payments must be received in full two weeks prior to your stay. . If you do extend your stay, than we will accept a personal check as long as it is an instate check from California. However, you must pay for your stay in advance prior to your departure. Please make checks payable to Tina Sherman. (please review our policy page). Do you provide transportation to my home? Yes, however there is a transportation charge of $125 within a 10 mile radius from Villa Milana Retreat. No exceptions. You will be transported in a Mercedes Benz with total comfort. We will assist you into your home and make sure that you are all right before we leave you. We can only take you home if you do not have a doctor's appointment that day. Your drop off will be coordinated with our Patient Coordinator. Please make these arrangements at the time of your Reservation on the Reservation page, so we may accommodate your needs.(Please see our pricing page). Can I stay longer than my reservation if I decide I need to? Yes. In some cases, extended stays can be arranged however, it does depend upon availability. We can help you through this process by estimating the number of days that you may need by the kind of procedures that you are having. It is always better to leave our Retreat when you are both emotionally and physically able, than to leave too soon where you may set yourself back in your healing. Please remember to bring cash and/or your California personal check book. All money must be received prior to your departure. Are your rates competitive with other Retreats? Yes. In fact, we are much lower in pricing. We have NO HIDDEN FEES and we ensure that safety and comfort are always our highest priority. An expensive aftercare may not have everything that Villa Milana Retreat offers. We offer excellent nursing care by outstanding and seasoned plastic surgery nurses. We make your recovery affordable so that you can relax and not worry if you need to stay a few extra days. How many days do I need to give to you to reserve a Room at your Retreat? Because we don't have 15 rooms like a Hospital or a Hotel, and due to the high demand of Aftercare, our Cottage Retreat is reserved 2-3 weeks in advance. At Villa Milana Retreat we provide a very tranquil, peaceful and healing atmosphere as well as a relaxing ambiance. Our Retreat comes highly recommended by some of the most prestigious Doctor's in Beverly Hills. To ensure your reservations, please book on-line on the Reservation page and we will send you a confirmation via email. We do enforce a 72 hour cancellation policy for a Full Refund. Also, for any reason that you cannot make your stay at our Retreat on the day of your surgery, we do not provide any refunds. We do turn people away once your reservation is made. Should we be completely booked, we can place your name on a waiting list, should any cancellations occur. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for choosing our Retreat. Do you get a lot of out-of-towners? Yes. Beverly Hills caters to some of the MOST affluent people in the world, by having very talented and outstanding Plastic Surgeons. Therefore, many of our clients will need a place to stay where they are out of the "public eye", and their stay remains completely confidential. Many of our out-of-towners find Villa Milana Retreat the perfect place to rejuvenate their spirit while they are healing, as we provide them with all of their meals, delicious decaf coffees or teas in the morning with their breakfast, meditation music in the background, aromatherapy, comfortable room accommodations, relaxing gardens to view and excellent nursing care. We are limited to only 5 rooms which adds to the quaintness and solitude. The question that we get asked many times is "May I stay forever?" May I stop by Villa Milana to see your Retreat? You may stop by to look at the outside, but due to patient confidentiality, we ensure that our Retreat stays very quiet, tranquil and PRIVATE. We provide and encourage personal showings to our Doctors and Surgical Consultants so they may describe the Retreat to you. We do have pictures on the Internet which profiles our Rooms.
